Trip Highlights:
- Used Polestar 2— with a 408 horsepower engine and an estimated range of 265 miles
- Route: Starts at Thousand Oaks, a city just west of L.A., before joining the I-15 highway north between the Angeles and San Bernardino National Forests, passing through Hesperia and Victorville, Barstow and Baker, going around Mojave National Preserve, passing through an elevation of 4,000 feet through Joshua Tree
- Tim Chester found some interesting pit stops en route: Calico Ghost Town, Mormon Rocks, and Elmer’s Bottle Tree Ranch,
- Time estimates: Waze predicted four hours and 45 minutes. But arrived in Las Vegas in 6 hours a midst accident and slowed traffic
